Gather together to introduce daily theme with a demonstration, invitation, and/or discussion; songs, wiggle activities
Centers / Exploration
9:40 - 10:30 a.m.
Explain centers and then allow children to choose their centers based on interest, make observations, ask questions and brainstorm possible answers, conduct science experiments, test predictions, share discoveries, participate in various hands-on activities to further explore daily theme
Snack
10:30 - 10:45 a.m.
Free Play
10:45 - 11:25 a.m.
Outside free time, play games, run, dig holes, interest-led exploration
Discussion, Reading, Journals
11:25 - 11:50 a.m.
Discuss as a group the discoveries of the day, encourage students to ask additional questions, read books about our discoveries and daily theme, evaluate information, draw conclusions, journals (outside if weather permits)
Clean up / Pick Up
11:50 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Clean up, prepare for pick up.
